Array of LCD Screens

How to create an array of lcd screens:

When you are looking for answers to create an array of lcd screens at home or at your workplace, there are numerous points that you would have to consider. There is no end to the questions that you would be baffling you; and you would be left looking for answers to them. However simply put, you would have to first decide upon the preferred dimensions of the array. Usually, engineers and technicians would advise you to go in for a collection of array stands that would measure roughly up to 9 * 9. Each component in the aforesaid array of lcd screens may be attached to a single computer system for a comprehensive view. However, all is not this hunky dory. You would also be required to pre-program each LCD in the array of lcd screens to have them acting as one huge screen. Not only would this give you instant access to a better view, but would also help prevent any confusion.

array stands: commonly found glitches:

There are many problems that would require your personal attention if you are considering setting up well-coordinated array stands comprising of many LCD screens. However, perhaps one of the more commonly encountered problems is that of irregular or non-uniformity in screen resolution and picture quality. This may be addressed in two ways: either you buy each component of same company; or you may also individually monitor and program each individual screen’s resolution to match with one another. Thus, it is not an impossible task to set up your own array of lcd screens all by yourself; if you adhere to a few key pointers.

Advertising With Multiple Monitors

Marketing in the new-era: LCD advertising with monitors

One of the most commonly used of all new-age technology monitors to have hit the market is the LCD or Liquid-Crystal Display monitor. The new-age technology enables better viewing. Not only is the picture quality better and upgraded, but there is also clarity in physical contours and more sharpness in colour and contrast. Perhaps this is the reason why advertisers and companies are increasingly turning to LCD advertising with multiple monitors.

advertising with monitors: setting up of basic mechanism

Technically called as multi-monitor or multi-screen setup, this is a set-up which in layman terms facilitates easier and more lucid viewing through more distinct picture quality. Each component in a setup of advertising with multiple monitors is linked to a single computer to avoid any chaos related to programming and timing of different sections of the same advertisement. Since, they are all connected to one computer; they would all be regulated by a single mouse and keyboard. Hence, just one person can easily run the show and exhibit an entire marketing-film through this medium of advertising with monitors.

Such an interface allows you to visually keep up with more than one program at a single point in time; without having to make any extra efforts. Besides this, you may also compare and study multiple charts simultaneously; and display them across multiple screens, through a mere copy and paste feature. Businessmen and companies increasingly prefer this to single display mechanism, as not only does advertising with multiple monitors increase the scope for efficiency, but also perform many tasks better due to improved visual appeal. These may be audio-recording as well as video-recording; day-trading; and lastly medical imaging.

8 Monitors

The greatest discovery of this era: LCD Monitors:-

LCD Monitors that is the Liquid crystal Display monitors is one of the greatest discoveries in the history of mankind in this present point of time for the advertising display. It helps people in having a perfect display without even having any eye problem or any eye irritation which had been the main concern in the previous versions as it helps in having a perfect VGA (Video Graphic Array) display. Although LCD monitors have much use but the most important use is in the field of Advertisement that is when it is use with the computers, nowadays usually the advertisement is done using 8 Monitors altogether using a single laptop or a CPU in order to get a perfect advertising display using 8 monitors.

Settings to be done for 8 monitors for advertising display:-

The steps involved in setting up 8 monitors for advertising display are:

  • Buying the monitor.
  • Buying the graphic card.

6 Monitor Computers

Business of all sectors are finding the importance of multiple display computing in the workplace. In the age of information overload, multi-tasking tools are becoming an even more critical component to any business. By finding tools to increase efficiency, businesses allow their employees to make the most of their time each and every day. The first step to increase effectiveness is to increase the efficiency of company equipment. By switching from the old, single monitor setup to the increasingly popular setup with 4 monitors, employees are able to complete valuable tasks more quickly and more efficiently.

The concept of using multiple monitors to accomplish more at work is not a new one in such fields as graphic design, architecture, communications, accounting, engineering, or video editing. However, in the past, this has meant multiple graphics adapters and specialized software. Fortunately, such extreme measures are no longer required to enhance productivity in the work place, and the costs of upgrading are much more competitive now, too. Now that multiple-monitor setups are more budget-friendly, it is becoming more and more common to see a much wider range of business professionals using 4 monitors (or more) to increase their visual area, or real estate.

For multiple monitor networking, software such as Maxivista for Windows and ScreenRecycler for Mac OS X let you set up a multiple PC multi-monitor mode through virtual display drivers and client-side software. It is possible to have multiple monitors displaying a single virtual desktop as well. Many university display wall projects use this capability, resulting in a 17600 x 6000 pixel display.

A different approach to using multiple monitor systems involves using the monitors of networked computers to display the output of a central, localized computer. By using the graphic cards of the networked computers, both stability and speed are dramatically enhanced. This is often a preferred choice for users who want 4 monitors but have systems where adding additional graphic cards is problematic, such as the case with most laptops.

When using 4 monitors for one system, the additional monitors can either be extensions of the desktop (panoramic) or mirrors of the central display. The arrangements of these monitors can be configured to make horizontal, vertical, or other monitor configurations possible. Additionally, since the additional monitors are powered by networked computers, they can be located anywhere the network reaches, both wireless and hardwired.

The primary disadvantage to using 4 monitors is that common resources of the video card are divided between each display’s output duties. Fortunately, ongoing improvements in graphics technology have minimized this issue in recent years, with many new graphic adapters now supporting additional video adapters as well. Between the reduction in cost, and therefore increase in availability, combined with the advances to improve this technology in recent years, now is a great time to see if this technology could be beneficial to your work space. In addition to increased productivity and work space, multiple monitor systems can also be beneficial to your personal computer to help you multitask at home and enjoy a better enhanced experience while doing more enjoyable computerized tasks.

4 Monitors: The Future of Business

Business of all sectors are finding the importance of multiple display computing in the workplace. 4 Monitor Computers: Real Estate Investment

I was over at a friend’s house the other day, and he was complaining about his computer. After a few standard questions, I gathered that it wasn’t the processor that was the problem, it was the small, outdated monitor. When you think about it, the monitor really is the most important part of the computer to the user. This is where you view all your data and the only way you can input the correct information for any command. After I discussed the pros and cons of upgrading to a larger monitor, I got to discussing 4 monitor computers, or quads, with my friend. By upgrading to a multi-monitor system,
my friend was able to save money he would have unnecessarily spent on a new system and increase both usability and productivity.

When you think about it, the monitor is the primary way that you interface with your computer, and it’s valuable real estate in that since. Even though your processor and memory certainly contribute to the usability of your computer, the greatest influence on having a pleasant (or unpleasant) experience lies with your input and output devices such as your monitor, keyboard, and mouse. However, to many computer buyers, the monitor almost seems like a last detail. When I invest in a computer that is going
to help me make money and enjoy my hobbies, I want the visual experience to be a major factor that adds to every aspect of my use. When I first came across 4 monitor computers, I learned that I can multitask and enlarge data with such a setup that was never possible with a single screen, no matter what size.

However, you want to look at more than just size when shopping for monitors. Other important features to pay attention to include resolution, contrast ratio (the higher, the better), and response time (lower is better). It is also important, when shopping 4 monitor computers, to be sure that you have the video card to support it. Many require a dual DVI card. Unlike a larger screen, multiple monitor usage involves less weight and more flexibility space-wise.

Many shoppers may be tempted by the larger monitors, but it often makes more sense financially and logistically to buy several smaller monitors instead. With multiple monitors, you end up with more screen space (“real estate”) for a lower price. You also have more flexibility with weight and arrangement. 4 monitor computers can be set up either four across or two-by-two, thereby offering the user added flexibility regard space restraints.

Keep in mind that, too, you can turn on as many monitors as necessary at a given time. If you just want to check your email really quickly, you can just turn on one monitor and save electricity that would be wasted on a larger monitor. I, personally, love having the ability to reconfigure my monitor setup to my liking at any time, a benefit exclusive to owners of 4 monitor computers. Whether a want widescreen, traditional (box) screen, one monitor, or four, I have complete control of every visual aspect of my user experience. How many single-monitor users can say that?

4 Monitor Array: How to Get a Multi-Monitor setup for Your Office

Regardless of what type of work you do, you can benefit from the increased productivity that comes along with using a multi-monitor setup at work when using your computer. The ability to expand your workspace across multiple screens allows you better access to editing files and documents, monitoring email, or simply running several applications at once without having to switch back and forth. Perhaps you have a 4 monitor array at home that you are comfortable using, and would like to have the same accessibility to your computer at work. If you are concerned about discussing the upgrade with your
boss or manager, allow me to share some suggestions to help you build your case.

A simple way to begin expanding your workspace is to possibly find an unused monitor collecting dust in the office. Ask your boss/manager if you can use that one. If you simply ask if you may use an extra monitor without offering a solution, you are likely to get shut down immediately. If your office has several unused monitors lying around, you will be able to customize your space with a 4 monitor array using this method in no time! If you meet resistance with this method, be sure to inform him or her of the fact that more desktop “real-estate” improves productivity. Additional space equals increased
productivity.

You may also suggest that multiple, smaller monitors are cheaper that a larger unit. If this becomes a cost issue, you can compare the prices of smaller monitors required for a 4 monitor array to the cost of one larger monitor that covers equal area. The multi-monitor setup will, indeed, save time and money both in the short and long terms.

Another approach may be to offer a “trial run.” Are employees actually more productive with more work space? Be able to demonstrate the benefits of saving time by not having to constantly open/close/maximize/minimize projects. It is also helpful if your boss can directly see the benefits for themselves.  Maybe a 4 monitor array for the boss, too?

Look the part. If you are seated in a prominent location where you come into contact with clients or customers, a multi-monitor setup portrays a business that efficient and ahead of the times. On top of actually increasing your productivity, a 4 monitor array also gives your business an edge by building confidence with your clientele.

You could also request an additional computer to complete all of your tasks more efficiently. Since this option would be more costly than a multiple-monitor setup, you may have some bargaining room with this request, depending on your company. Obviously, this method would work best with a larger corporation with more resources for supplies. Bonus points if you are into day trading or a similar profession where your superior would feel the importance of such an upgrade.

Use any of these suggestions at your own risk. Preferably discuss any options where more equipment is required when you know that your company is ahead financially, to avoid maximal frustration from superiors. When planned correctly, I believe your company will see the benefits of using a 4 monitor array to increase productivity and give their employees an extra edge.

Just Because You Have a Laptop Doesn’t Mean You Can’t Use Triple Monitors

So, what kind of computer system are you using to run your business?  A few years ago, I got really sick of having to use multiple computers- I had a desktop at home and laptop that I used when traveling.  The primary purpose of having a desktop at home was that I like to use multiple monitors while I work.  There have been plenty of case studies done on why this is a good idea, but the main reason most people like this is because they more easily use multiple programs.  It just makes sense really, but we’ll talk more about this in a bit.  The problem though, is like I said before, I have to have 2 computers- and one of them was a laptop for traveling.  This could make things a big complicated because I would often find myself transferring information back and forth between computers.  This creates a few issues.  Number one, things get lost, files get corrupted and time consumption is quite obnoxious.  I finally discovered that a good solution for this was a triple monitor laptop.  It made a lot of sense, but unless you know how to set these up, it sounds kind of tricky.

Here’s the deal.  When you setup a normal multiple monitor computer, you typically use several graphics or video cards, so that you have the processing power (think GPU) and the outputs available for multiple screens.  The problem is that with a laptop computer you are far more limited on what you’re able to install.  That’s why you must understand what is actually required to make this happen.  Not everyone knows that there is actually a relatively simple solution to the problem of how to setup a triple monitor laptop and I’m going to share it with you.

The easiest and most cost efficient way to setup up a triple monitor laptop is to use an adapter.  There are a few that are available, but the most reliable and the one that most people use for their triple monitor laptop is made by a company called Maxtor.  They make a product called the TripleHead2Go- this is a basically a three way laptop output that can be plugged directly into your computer and extend your desktop on to as many as 3 different or additional screens.  The setup for the TripleHead2Go and triple monitor laptop is actually relatively simple- you can simply plug it in and then configure everything within your Windows control panel.  The whole process took me roughly 5 minutes to figure out and it has been working great ever since.

The advantage to having a triple monitor laptop is great.  Once a month (or thereabouts) when I travel, I can just unplug my laptop and take it with me to where ever I’m going, but on normal non-traveling days it works just as well as my original multiple monitor computer.  I’m no longer spending a lot of time transferring files back and forth and I don’t have to worry nearly as much about corrupt files either.  It has relieved a lot of stress associated with traveling and I really appreciate how having a triple monitor laptop has been a huge benefit to my business.

Now typically the number one question is, “where do I get a Maxtor TripleHead2Go, I don’t see them at Best Buy or Wal-Mart.”  You are correct, using a TripleHead2Go for your triple monitor laptop is not something that most companies want you to know about.  The easiest and best way to buy an adapter like the TripleHead2Go is to resource a company like multi-monitors.com.  They have an awesome selection of multiple monitor products and know more about setting up your triple monitor laptop than any other company on the web.  You won’t be disappointed with your decision to source an expert on this matter.

3 Monitors: Too Many for the Average Computer User?

12 Monitor Computers: The Benefits of Multi-Monitor Usage

Multi-Monitor refers to the use of multiple displays for a single computer system. These setups are a great way to improve productivity, and accessibility to these systems is increasing as prices are becoming more consumer-friendly. It is becoming more common to see professionals using these systems inside and outside of the office. For work or for play, the benefits of using a multi-monitor system can help you be more productive in less time. Let us look at some of the benefits of using a multi-screen setup, whether you are interested in a dual monitor system or perhaps a larger, 12 monitor computer.

Having a dual or 12 monitor computer allows you to quickly view documents and images side by side for comparison, which can become tedious with a single display. This is not a new concept for many professions, including graphic designers, engineers, and architects. Today, multiple monitor systems are utilized by a larger variety of professionals such as day traders, audio/video editors, web developers, researchers, and more. These systems are also common amongst the medical community, security teams, and software developers, to name just a few.

One benefit of a multi-monitor system is that it encourages the idea of paperless records by allowing information to be more readily accessible. Multi-tasking has never been so easy! Professionals, students, and every computer user can benefit from the increased productivity that a multiple monitor system provides. In addition to enhanced document viewing accessibility, some added benefits of using a 12 monitor computer include: ease of document editing and researching sources of information, ability to work on multiple monitors while other data can be easily viewed without interruption, ability to enlarge data onto multiple screens, save energy by only running one computer system, panoramic
view capability, and much more.

The easiest way to setup a 12 monitor computer is to purchase a multi-monitor ready computer. Your current system may require additional video cards for maximum compatibility. You may also add an extra monitor to your PC by using a USB to VGA Monitor Adapter. The monitors used for multi-monitor computers can be various sizes and types (LCD or CRT). The operating system manages the monitors’ video resolutions independently. Video cards are typically connected to a monitor, either LCD or CRT,
but they are increasingly being connected to projection equipment and/or television displays. As a result, manufacturers have developed video cards that can connect to several types of displays, using the appropriate interface.

The 12 monitor computers available at multi-monitors.com are mounted vertically and horizontally (3 x 4 LCDs). The monitor display is configured with the screens mounted on three slightly bent horizontal bars that each hold four monitors stacked on each other. These monitors are available in regular aspect or widescreen, for ultimate customization for your needs. The display is intended for use with a powerful computer system that is capable of supporting twelve monitors. Please contact a sales specialist to review the recommended software and hardware to maximally support this type of display.
